Itinerary
Today your guide and private driver will pick you up in your hotel in Cuenca.
Our first stop of the day is Cajas National Park where we have time for a 1 to 2 hour visit. Cajas offers impressive glacial landscapes of cloud forest and Andean highland paramo, with over 200 lakes and lagoons.
Lunch included (can be a picnic lunch or lunch in local restaurant)
After lunch we continue onto the city of Guayaquil, crossing the Andes and beginning our descent into the low tropical coastal region of Ecuador. The stark contrast between the treeless high paramos at the start of the journey to the tropical plantations of banana, coffee and chocolate at the end, makes for a fascinating road trip.
