Itinerary
Today we travel up into the Eastern Andes, crossing the continental divide and onto the stark and beautiful high grassland paramos of the Papallacta region of Ecuador. On clear days, the views of the snow-capped Antisana Volcano are breathtaking.
On arrival at Papallacta we can follow the river trail behind the hot springs for a fun, pretty and in some parts exhilarating walk, which lasts for around 40 minutes.
Lunch (not included) can be enjoyed in a local restaurant.
This tour includes access to the private spa at Termas Papallacta where you can relax in a number of natural thermal pools of varying temperatures. These volcanic waters are known for their rejuvenating properties.
Massages and other treatments are available at the spa – to be booked and paid for separately.
Later in the day we return to Quito.
