Itinerary

Travelling south from Quito, we reach the Cotopaxi region of Ecuador.

Today’s hike is an in–and–out trail suitable for all the family, and takes place at an altitude of 3100m to 3200m. Following the course of the Pita River, this relatively flat walk takes us upstream through a rocky canyon filled with diverse Andean forest.

Crossing the river on a number of footbridges, we pass many pretty waterfalls before arriving at our destination – the stunning 80m high Condor Machay waterfall. Picnic lunch included. (8km – 3 hours)
